Must be able to work independently and consistently, involving a daily process. The ability to understand and follow instructions is of great importance. You will have a willingness to adopt both short (temporary) and long term (permanent) changes. You will be expected to maintain certain levels of security and Health & Safety standards commensurate with working in a warehouse environment.
You will be expected to respond to telephone and email enquiries.
Raising invoices to UK based retail customers and worldwide stations to suit billing periods as required
Verifying accuracy of the invoices before posting to the accounts software
Data entry and running of daily/weekly reports
Resolving queries that may arise from invoices raised and raising credit notes as required
Opening new accounts and entering tariffs and bespoke rates
Covering banking roles for absence and holidays
Assisting other members of the department where required
General office duties as and when required
• You will be expected to respond to telephone and email enquiries.
• Produce daily exception reports
• Establish and manage day to day relationship with customers
• Build rapport with other stations and 3rd party agents
• Be able to manage buddy accounts when other colleagues are away
• Assist with covering our central email hub during busy periods
Experience required in relation to Customs/ import entries using CNS/ CHIEF/ ASM and Datafreight if possible
Good understanding of customs procedures/ commodity codes and CPC codes
Some lifting and package handling required
Good knowledge of Excel
Good telephone manner required
Team player and ability to work under pressure
Delivery of customer’s consignments to end user
Ensuring company vehicle is clean and roadworthy
Following planned routes for timely deliveries
Ensure consignments have correctly been signed and accounted for
Valid driver’s licence with maximum of 3 penalty points required
